Seeking Volunteers to Sort Books

The Andrea Worrell. L.U.T., collection of Unity texts and related books, recordings and media has been donated to Unity of Indianapolis. We are seeking volunteers to help transport the collection to our facility, and then sort through the items to make them ready for either our library, or our on-going used book sale. If you are available during the day on Wednesday, July 26 during the day, and would be willing to assist us, then please contact Susan Barta by emailing ‘susan @ unityofindy.com’ or click here before Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.

Rebirth and renewal: Unity of Indianapolis centers in Truth

Unity of Indianapolis is going through a transformation, back to its beginnings, centered in Unity metaphysical spirituality as taught by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, and others who follow them. We are working to renew our building, streamline our business practices, and ready ourselves for our next chapter in our 100+ years of serving in Indianapolis. So if you are wanting to help us, please contact the office at ‘info @ unityofindy.com’, or to stay informed, join our mailing list by clicking here.

Along with the consciousness renewal, we are addressing many issues in our building: plumbing, roof, HVAC, lighting, and more. Our sanctuary is once again Air Conditioned. We thank Kelley Bowling, Indy Rental & Sales, Inc., for their deep discounts on large fans to cool down the room until the AC was fixed. And a big thanks to James O’Brien, of O’Brien Mechanical LLC. in getting to us before the Cowspiracy event, and willing to make the replacement of the compressor affordable to our budget. O’Brien Mechanical has been working with Unity of Indianapolis to update and replace our once-upon-a-time state-of-the-art HVAC system; the sanctuary is the last room running of our older system. We are most appreciative of the many ways he has given the extra bit in support of our work.

New Policy on Special Event Parking Fundraising

The Board of Trustees has passed a new policy to tithe 10% of our parking proceeds to the nonprofit that sponsored the event that brought people to our area. Thus, we have sent a $80 check to Indiana Black Expo, with our deepest gratitude. We also send gratitude to the fundraising event coordinators, Larry Fitzgerald and Todd Foushee. If you would like to get involved in our parking fundraising, send your name, phone and email to the office, ‘susan @ unityofindy.com’ or click here.
